About this Series . . .

(2005-2006) In 2003, I visited Dessau, Germany, the home of the Bauhaus movement. I was very inspired by the visual resolution and clarity of the colors and geometric forms. Upon returning home, I experimented in several mediums. Constructing wall sculpture gave me the feeling I wanted. These works are made up of geometric forms and arcs, and have great depth, so that shadows become an important factor. Several sculptures are characterized by sweeping gestural lines or "drawings in space". The works are a range of sizes. They are not the result of a pre-planned compositional framework, but evolve as each new component interacts with those already in the composition. I have a specific process, and the design is purely intuitive.
